Wallet cards on the shortlist
A short list of wallet cards starts from one filter: your keys, your coins, until the second you pay. The provider converts the balance to local money at the till, and no exchange account has to hold it beforehand.
Each card that made the list is described by its price, the coins and networks that load it, the countries it reaches and the setup of the issuer behind it. Reading those four lines is enough to cut the list further.
Self-custody swaps one risk for another. Nobody can reset a lost seed phrase, and the company behind the card may still shut it off. The write-ups mark the exact spot where that happens.
